Kenya Electricity Transmission Company, commonly referred to as KETRACO, is a limited liability company which acts as Transmission System Operator in Kenya. == Overview == KETRACO is the national Transmission System Operator of Kenya. It is a fully government-owned company. Formed in 2008 for taking charge of the electricity transmission infrastructure function, until then in hands of Kenya Power. It was established to develop new High Voltage network infrastructures. According to the company policies, its core business is to plan, design, build, operate and maintain high voltage lines and substations with 132kV and higher.
